Code of Conduct, Ethics, and Research Policy

1. Research Policy

The Dhanvantary Institute of Pharmacy and Research (DIPR) is committed to promoting a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry. The Research Policy aims to create a conducive environment for faculty and students to undertake socially relevant, innovative, and impactful research in pharmaceutical sciences.

• Resource Allocation: Providing access to state-of-the-art computational facilities, laboratories, and extensive digital libraries.
• Seed Funding: Encouraging early-career faculty and student researchers by providing institutional seed grants for promising pilot projects.
• Collaborations: Actively fostering interdisciplinary research and securing MoUs with industries and government agencies.

2. Code of Ethics in Research

Integrity is the foundation of all academic research at DIPR. Researchers must adhere strictly to ethical guidelines to ensure the credibility of their scientific output.

• Originality & Plagiarism: All research manuscripts, thesis documents, and project reports must undergo mandatory plagiarism checks using institutional software prior to submission. Zero tolerance is applied to data fabrication and falsification.
• Authorship: Authorship must reflect true intellectual contribution to the work. Ghost authorship or honorary authorship is strictly prohibited.
• Regulatory Compliance: Any research involving biological samples, animal models, or human subjects must receive prior approval from the respective institutional ethics committees (IAEC/IEC) and adhere to CPCSEA guidelines.

3. Code of Conduct

This code establishes the standard of behavior expected from all personnel utilizing DIPR research facilities.

• Laboratory Safety: Researchers must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Toxic, neurotoxic, or hazardous chemicals must be handled strictly inside fume hoods following standard operating protocols.
• Resource Utilization: Institutional resources, software licenses (e.g., molecular docking modules), and laboratory instruments must be logged properly and used exclusively for academic and approved consultancy purposes.
• Professional Integrity: Researchers must declare any conflicts of interest regarding funding, consultancy, or intellectual property rights. A respectful, collaborative, and non-discriminatory environment must be maintained in all research interactions.
